To treat bacterial infections of the chest, throat or ears. This medicine can also be used to prevent infection of the heart (endocarditis) in certain patients.

The group of penicillin antibiotics work by blocking bacterial cell wall formation, resulting in bacteria that cannot survive or reproduce.

How is this medicine used?
This medicine should be take as directed by your doctor. The medicine can be taken with or without food and should be taken at regular intervals and until it is all gone.

What if I miss a dose?
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.

Store at room temperature in a closed container away from heat or light. Liquids should be stored in the refrigerator and discarded after the expiration date.

Antibiotics may decrease the amount of “good” bacteria in your intestines needed for normal digestion. A supplement called Probiotic may be recommenned. Talk to your pharmacist.
